Join Me Games on a stream
A board view built to be watched, a room your chat can join, and nothing to install on either side.
What you capture
Open the TV page for your room in a browser and capture that tab. It shows the game live, with names and scores, and follows the room from the lobby into each game and back, so you set the capture once for the night. Your own phone stays your controller, off screen.
Worm Wars is the one built to be watched: one arena, every worm in it, and the whole room sees the bite land at the same moment. Codewords reads well too, because the TV page shows the board with nothing secret on it and the argument is the audio.
Letting chat play
The room code is a short code; put it in chat and anyone with a phone is in as a guest, no account. Rooms feel best with two to eight players, so for a bigger stream run it as a queue: a few viewers in, a round, rotate. The host can remove a player from the room, though they can come back with the code; open a fresh room if someone will not behave. A Party Pass custom room code stays the same every stream, which chat learns quickly, and joining it takes its PIN, so put both in chat or keep the room to friends.
Keeping the code off screen
The TV page shows the room code and a QR code in its header so a living room can read it off the television. On a stream that means anyone watching can join, which is what you want for a chat game and not what you want for a private one. For now: crop the header out of the capture (it is a fixed strip along the top), or run a private game from a fresh room each time and only share the code where you mean to. A streamer mode that hides the code on the TV page is on the list; it is not there yet, and this page will say so when it is.
What we ask, and what you get
Nothing, and nothing, respectively: play it if it is fun for your stream, and if it is not, tell us why on the contact page. If you stream it regularly and want your room to show no ads to anyone in it, say so; a Party Pass does that for the whole room and we will sort one out for a channel that plays.
Start
Open the games, press Play, open the TV page for the code in another tab, capture that tab, and put the code in chat.
