Everyone writes a prompt
Something odd to draw. The worse the better.
About Doodle Roar
Doodle Roar is a drawing chain for a room full of phones. Every player starts a book with a prompt, something odd and short. The book passes to the next phone, where it is drawn; then to the next, where the drawing is guessed; then the guess is drawn, and so on, until every player has a page in every book.
Nobody sees anything but their own page until the end. Then the books are read out one page at a time, on the TV if there is one and on every phone at once: the prompt, the drawing drawing itself, a beat, the guess. Everyone in the room touched every book, so everyone knows exactly where it went wrong.
After each book the room votes for its funniest page, prompt, drawing or guess, and the author gets the points. Most votes at the end wins. Or turn scores off and just read the books.

Questions
- How many people do you need for Doodle Roar?
- Three or more, so every book has enough pages to go wrong. Bots fill any empty seats, which is how you try it on your own: they borrow drawings people made or scribble their own, and their guesses are wild.
- Can we see the drawings while people are drawing?
- No, and that is the point: the reveal is the laugh. The TV shows where every pen is and what color it is holding, but never the picture, until the books are read out.
- Is it hard to draw on a phone?
- The page fills the screen, and you can pinch to zoom right in on a detail and pan around. Strokes are stored as lines, not pixels, so zooming never blurs anything. Undo is unlimited.
- What do we vote on?
- After each book, the funniest page in it, prompt, drawing or guess, one vote each, not for your own. The author gets a point per vote, and the leader list at the end is who got the most.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Press Play and you are in as a guest, with a name picked for you. A guest lasts 24 hours. Sign in with Google or Apple to pick your own name and color and keep them on every device, or to take out a Party Pass. Your real name is never shown.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. Every game runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Open joinme.games and play. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
- How do my friends join?
- Host a room and you get a short game code. Share the code or the invite link. Friends open it on their own phones and they are in the room straight away โ nothing to press. The host starts the round for everyone.
- Does it work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. Any modern phone browser works, and the same game runs on a laptop or a tablet. Everyone in a group can be on different devices.
- Is it free?
- The games on this page are free to play. A Party Pass removes ads for you and everyone you host, and gives you a custom room code and a name of your own.
