About Snatch Solitaire
Snatch Solitaire is the card game known as Nertz, and in other houses as Dutch Blitz or Pounce. Everyone plays at the same time, each with their own deck in their own color, and the piles in the middle belong to nobody.
You have a snatch pile of thirteen, four work piles and a stock you turn over a card at a time. An ace starts a pile in the middle, and anyone can put the next card of its suit on it. Two cards for the same pile? The first to get there takes it, and the other comes back to its owner.
The moment someone empties their snatch pile, the hand is over. Every card still in your snatch pile is a point against you, and the lowest total wins. Play one hand, or play until someone reaches a total.
How to play
- Aces start piles in the middle. Anyone builds them up by suit to the king.
- Build your work piles down in alternating colors. Any card starts an empty one.
- Two cards for one pile: the first there gets it.
- Empty your snatch pile to end the hand. A point for every card left in your snatch pile; lowest total wins.

Questions
- Is Snatch Solitaire the same as Nertz?
- It plays the same way: your own deck, a pile of thirteen to empty, and shared piles in the middle that everyone races to build. It goes by Nertz, Nerts, Pounce and, with its own deck, Dutch Blitz.
- Can I play Snatch Solitaire on my own?
- Yes, against bots. Each plays its own deck at a pace you pick in the lobby, and a quick player can beat it to a pile.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Press Play and you are in as a guest, with a name picked for you. A guest lasts 24 hours. Sign in with Google or Apple to pick your own name and color and keep them on every device, or to take out a Party Pass. Your real name is never shown.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. Every game runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Open joinme.games and play. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
- How do my friends join?
- Host a room and you get a short game code. Share the code or the invite link. Friends open it on their own phones and they are in the room straight away — nothing to press. The host starts the round for everyone.
- Does it work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. Any modern phone browser works, and the same game runs on a laptop or a tablet. Everyone in a group can be on different devices.
- Is it free?
- The games on this page are free to play. A Party Pass removes ads for you and everyone you host, and gives you a custom room code and a name of your own.
