The same minefield for everyone
Easy, Medium or Hard. Every board starts open in the same place.
About Mine Dash
Mine Dash is a minefield race. The host picks a size, Easy, Medium or Hard, and everyone gets the same board at the same moment, already opened in the same place, so nobody starts with a blind guess.
Uncover a square and it shows how many of its eight neighbors hide a mine. Work out where the mines are, flag them, and uncover everything else. Every board can be cleared by logic alone: there is never a spot where you have to guess.
Everyoneβs board fills in along the top as they go. Hit a mine and your board freezes for a few seconds while the others pull ahead, or, if the host picked Out, your race is over. The fastest to clear the board wins.
How to play
- A number says how many of the eight squares around it hide a mine.
- Tap a square to uncover it. Hold it to flag a mine.
- Everyone starts from the same opening, and no board ever needs a guess.
- Hit a mine and you freeze for a few seconds. Fastest clear wins.
Controls
- Tap to uncover. Hold, or right-click, to flag. Tap a number whose flags are all down to open the rest around it.
- Flag with a tap, under the board, makes a plain tap flag instead.
Playing with friends
- Sign in free with Google or Apple and press Play: you get a short game code for your group.

- Friends open it on their own phones and they are in.
- The host presses Play and everyone starts together.
- Put it on the TV if you like: any screen with a browser shows the game live. How to show it on your TV β
Questions
- Does everyone get the same minefield?
- Yes. The host picks the size and every player gets the identical board, opened in the same place. The fastest to uncover every safe square wins.
- Do I ever have to guess?
- No. Every board is checked before it is dealt: a careful player can always work out a safe square from the numbers.
- What happens when I hit a mine?
- The host picks before each race: your board freezes for 3, 5 or 10 seconds, or you are out and ranked by how much you uncovered. Playing alone, a mine always freezes.
- Can I play alone?
- Yes. Play solo against the clock and your best time for each size is kept on your device, or add bots in the lobby to race against.
- Do I need an account?
- To host it, yes: a free Google or Apple sign-in while Mine Dash is in beta. Everyone in your room plays without one, as a guest with a name picked for them. A guest lasts 24 hours. Your real name is never shown.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. Every game runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Open joinme.games and play. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
- How do my friends join?
- Host a room and you get a short game code. Share the code or the invite link. Friends open it on their own phones and they are in the room straight away β nothing to press. The host starts the round for everyone.
- Does it work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. Any modern phone browser works, and the same game runs on a laptop or a tablet. Everyone in a group can be on different devices.
- Is it free?
- Yes, with a free sign-in. Mine Dash is in beta: sign in with Google or Apple to host it, and everyone in your room plays too, with no account of their own. Once it leaves beta, nobody needs to sign in.
