Each writes the funniest answer they can.

About Zinger

Zinger is a party game of funny answers. Two players get the same prompt, like "A terrible name for a cruise ship", and each writes the funniest answer they can on their own phone.

Then the two answers go up side by side with no names on them, and everyone else votes for the one they like. Once the votes are in, the names come out. Every vote is points, and an answer that takes every vote is a clean sweep.

Round two is worth double. In the final everyone answers the same prompt and hands out gold, silver and bronze. No TV needed: every phone shows the whole show, and a TV shows it bigger and reads it out.

How to play
  1. You get two prompts a round, each against a different player. Write the funniest answer you can.
  2. Stuck? Help me fills in an answer, for half the points.
  3. Each matchup goes up with no names on it. Everyone else votes for the funnier one.
  4. Every vote is 100 points. Take every vote for a clean sweep.
  5. In the final everyone answers one prompt and gives out gold, silver and bronze.

Controls
  • Type your answer and press Send.
  • Tap the answer you like. In the final, tap your gold, silver and bronze in order, then lock them in.
Playing with friends
  1. Press Play and you are in as a guest, with a short game code for your group.
  2. Share the code or the invite link with your friends.
  3. Friends open it on their own phones and they are in.
  4. The host presses Play and everyone starts together.

Questions
How many people do you need for Zinger?
Three or more. Bots fill the seats up to five, so every matchup has three voters. The bots write answers and vote, so you can play on your own.
Do we need a TV?
No. Every phone shows the prompts, the answers, the votes and the names. A TV on the watch page shows the same thing bigger and reads it out.
Do I need an account?
No. Press Play and you are in as a guest, with a name picked for you. A guest lasts 24 hours. Sign in with Google or Apple to pick your own name and color and keep them on every device, or to take out a Party Pass. Your real name is never shown.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Every game runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Open joinme.games and play. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
How do my friends join?
Host a room and you get a short game code. Share the code or the invite link. Friends open it on their own phones and they are in the room straight away — nothing to press. The host starts the round for everyone.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Any modern phone browser works, and the same game runs on a laptop or a tablet. Everyone in a group can be on different devices.
Is it free?
The games on this page are free to play. A Party Pass removes ads for you and everyone you host, and gives you a custom room code and a name of your own.
