About Hearts
Hearts is the card game of not taking things. Every heart you win in a trick costs you a point, and the queen of spades costs thirteen. When someone reaches 100, the lowest score wins.
Before each hand everyone passes three cards they do not want. Then the lowest club leads, and you follow the suit led if you can. Out of it? That is your chance to throw a heart, or the queen, onto someone else.
Take every heart and the queen in one hand and you shoot the moon: everyone else takes the points instead. Your hand is on your own phone; the trick is on the table, and on the TV if you have one.
How to play
- Pass three cards you do not want.
- Follow the suit led. The highest card of that suit takes the trick.
- Each heart you take is a point; the queen of spades is 13.
- When someone reaches 100, the lowest score wins.
Controls
- Drag a card up to play it, or tap it and tap it again.

Questions
- Can I play Hearts on my own?
- Yes. Add bots in the lobby, or on the setup screen, and pick how well they play.
- What if we have more than five players?
- Hearts plays best with three to five. Past five, a second deck goes in, with two queens of spades.
- Do I need an account?
- To host it, yes: a free Google or Apple sign-in while Hearts is in beta. Everyone in your room plays without one, as a guest with a name picked for them. A guest lasts 24 hours. Your real name is never shown.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. Every game runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Open joinme.games and play. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
- How do my friends join?
- Host a room and you get a short game code. Share the code or the invite link. Friends open it on their own phones and they are in the room straight away — nothing to press. The host starts the round for everyone.
- Does it work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. Any modern phone browser works, and the same game runs on a laptop or a tablet. Everyone in a group can be on different devices.
- Is it free?
- Yes, with a free sign-in. Hearts is in beta: sign in with Google or Apple to host it, and everyone in your room plays too, with no account of their own. Once it leaves beta, nobody needs to sign in.
