A table for four
One seat each, with bots filling the empty ones. Japanese riichi plays with friends; Hong Kong, Chinese Official and American are against bots.
About Mahjong Traditional
Mahjong for four. You sit at the bottom and tap tiles to play; bots take the seats nobody is in. At the Japanese table, friends in the room each take a seat and play from their own phone.
The rules are a choice: Japanese riichi, Hong Kong, Chinese Official, or American Mahjongg on our own house card. The other rule sets are played alone with bots for now.
How to play
- Win with four sets (three of a kind, or three in a row in one suit) and a pair.
- On your turn, tap a tile once to select it and again to discard it.
- When someone discards a tile you can use, Ron wins it, Pon takes it, Chi completes a run, or Pass lets it go.

Questions
- Do I need to know mahjong?
- The table tells you what you can do: the buttons, the hint and the points for your hand. The points legend lists every set that scores.
- Do I need an account?
- To host it, yes: a free Google or Apple sign-in while Mahjong Traditional is in beta. Everyone in your room plays without one, as a guest with a name picked for them. A guest lasts 24 hours. Your real name is never shown.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. Every game runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Open joinme.games and play. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
- How do my friends join?
- Host a room and you get a short game code. Share the code or the invite link. Friends open it on their own phones and they are in the room straight away — nothing to press. The host starts the round for everyone.
- Does it work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. Any modern phone browser works, and the same game runs on a laptop or a tablet. Everyone in a group can be on different devices.
- Is it free?
- Yes, with a free sign-in. Mahjong Traditional is in beta: sign in with Google or Apple to host it, and everyone in your room plays too, with no account of their own. Once it leaves beta, nobody needs to sign in.
